You’re signing up to more than a ride
WE OPEN FOR ENTRIES ON 28 SEPTEMBER – AND NORMALLY SELL OUT QUICKLY. ENTER VIA THE AUDAX UK WEBPAGE.
PLEASE NOTE PLACES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.
LWL is about more than riding your bike as hard as possible. It’s an event for people who want to be part of a shared community; a community where we all work together to face a challenge.
If that sounds like your thing, we’ll love to see you in May.
Don’t worry about bringing a friend as you’ll probably find one along the way.
We use the AUDAX UK webpage which will open at some point in the night ready for you to sign up before you head out for your morning ride. On past form, we’d expect to sell out between 0900 and 1000 so don’t wait until your coffee break.
Be sure to read the small print first.
Everyone is welcome on LWL (apart from people with flashing rear lights at night of course) – and we hope one day to attract a balanced field of entrants regardless of gender or race.
We charge £30 to members of Audax UK (non members pay an extra £3 for temporary membership).
You don’t have to be a hardened audaxer to get on or get around. All you need is a spirit of adventure and a willingness to work with others to ensure everyone has a ride to remember. If there’s any thing we can do to help you be part of our community of cyclists, please let us know.
Audax entry fees are not normally refundable and never transferable. The low £30 fee is kept low because we budget for a number of no-shows. That means you can not ride using someone else’s entry. The organisers reserve the right to decline entries.

The other way to get involved is to sign up as a helper.
Helpers in 2026 are guaranteed a place on the 2027 event when places will be at a real premium as it will be a qualifier for Paris Brest Paris.
We’ll need helpers:
- route checking
- at the start from 0430 on the Saturday morning for 2.5 hours
- checking in riders at the Islip control from around 0800 until about 1030
- helping out in Chepstow from lunchtime until the early evening
- helping out at Lambourn control from early evening to the small hours
- welcoming weary riders back at Chalfont from midnight until around 1000 on Sunday.
The only qualification is a sympathetic manner and a sense of fun.
